DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 93-TJ-004 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and the City of Dubuque transferred Unsigned Iowa 961 to the City of Dubuque on March 1, 1993.

At the same time the section of Bluff Street and 5th Street (Unsigned Iowa 961 southbound), which was already the City of Dubuque's but being used by the Department of Transportation, was given back to the city.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 961 in Dubuque be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the relocation of several routes in Dubuque in 1991, one of the old routes became Unsigned Iowa 961 and the official description in the Primary Road System should be revised to reflect this change.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 961 in Dubuque, as described in the attachment, be included in the Primary Road System.

New Description Unsigned Iowa 961 in Dubuque County described as follows:

Dubuque:

Beginning on Locust Street (approximately one block north of Dodge Street); thence northwesterly on Locust Street (begin one-way northbound) to 4th Street; thence northeasterly on 4th Street to White Street (end one-way northbound).

Also

Beginning on 5th Street at Central Avenue; thence southwesterly on 5th Street (begin one-way southbound) to Bluff Street; thence southeasterly on Bluff Street to Dodge Street (end one-way southbound).
